$57.00

Anna Apple adapts well to hot conditions, are cold hardy down to -10 degrees and only need 200-300 chill hours to produce delicious fruit. Fruit ripens late June-early July and pollinates with any other Apple Tree but the Ein Shemer is a perfect pollinator for Anna Apples. Both Anna and Ein Shemer apples are an excellent, hardy choice for deer and wildlife.

Details

Anna Apple produces large, crisp apples with green-yellow skin and a red blush, offering sweet flavor with slight tartness. Fruit ripens and drops early, typically September in warm climates, providing forage when other mast is scarce; dropped apples attract whitetails in droves. Mature height averages 20-30 feet. Spring white-pink blossoms attract pollinators, and the variety is partially self-fertile but produces heavier crops with a nearby pollinator like Dorsett Golden. Hardy in Zones 5-9 (often listed 6-9), it requires only 200-300 chill hours, making it ideal for southern and low-chill areas. Prefers full sun and well-drained soil. Space trees 25-50 feet apart in open edges or small orchards for staging and easy deer access. A strong performer for early-season attraction in warmer whitetail ranges.

Reviews

“Over the last four decades, I have become increasingly frustrated with the lack of quality wildlife plant materials, service and support for landowners and managers. I am proud to be associated with a truly full-service company as WildTree. Now you will have a one-stop-shopping resource for trees, shrubs and seeds that really work for YOUR area!”

“Frankly, I have been disappointed in the lack of research and development by many of the companies that offer plants for wildlife! For many, “research” means scouring the earth for new plants you never heard of, and there is no research or testing as to the effectiveness. Serving the landowner and manager is not just marketing, it is about delivering on a promise; and, providing support to assure success.”
